Benedictine Hospital, as part of its Paths to Wellness program, will present a free lecture on Advanced Directives on April 21 at 7pm in the Administrative Services Building Auditorium.
As the recent events in Florida have pointed out there are few more complicated or difficult issues than in dealing with a very ill loved one or friend. This program will address the type of arrangements advised in the event of a debilitating illness or stroke. What decisions are needed to insure that the wishes of your father or mother, husband or wife are followed? Answers to these and other questions will be presented in the form of a panel discussion covering Living Wills, Health Care Proxy, Power of Attorneys and the real meaning of Do Not Resuscitate.
Areas covered will include legal, geriatric, clinical care, risk management, pastoral care and end of life questions. Plenty of free parking and refreshments will be served. For more information and directions please call 845-334-3151.
