Benedictine Health Foundation is a not-for-profit charitable corporation organized in October 1977. The foundation raises funds for Benedictine Hospital in Kingston, NY and for the future of quality medical care in Ulster County. Funds granted by the Foundation are used to purchase medical equipment and facilities, to provide medical and social services, to fund medical research, and to provide continuing education for Benedictine Hospital’s health care professionals.

The project includes renovation to the hospital's inpatient oncology unit, expanded detection services, creation of the region's only dedicated inpatient Hospice and Palliative Care Unit, and the opening of a Cancer Support House adjacent to the hospital.
